Thanks for the memories 2018, it’s been epic!

2018 has been a year that has treated us well here at FilmMyMatch! We’ve covered a full range of sports from the top end of elite sport all the way through to grassroots! Here’s a quick rundown of what we’ve been up to:

January

It was a wet start to 2018, but no sooner had the clouds subsided than the Rugby League pre-season campaign kicked off and we were once again on hand to provide analysis support to Rochdale Hornets throughout the season. We also ventured into the women’s game for the first time this year, filming all of Castleford Tigers’ home games and producing highlights of the best match action in only the second season of The Women’s Super League.

February

Our Cup Final campaign started early this year, covering County Cup Finals for Manchester, Lancashire, West Riding, Middlesex, Kent and Sussex County FAs from February onwards. In addition to the County Cup Finals, we captured well over 100 cup finals up and down the country, with all teams having the chance to win one of our “Goal of the Month” competitions which ran in March, April and May. Thanks to our friends at Kitlocker.com, three lucky winners were the recipients of full new kits for their teams with special strikes!

March

March saw us head across to the prestigious rugby sevens tournament at Rosslyn Park. In tandem with Coach Logic we captured some of the best independent schools in action and were able to provide top quality, elevated footage for the analysis process, support the development of potential future internationals.

April

Lacrosse was on the agenda in April as we attended the U19 Women’s Home Internationals. The Scottish team was our focus but we took in the best of home nations have to offer. It was fantastic to provide the Lacrosse community with the advantage of elevated filming and allowing individual players a chance to showcase their skills for a scholarship in the USA.

May

During May we were thrilled to team up with The FA to cover the UEFA European U17 Championships. Our operatives were in place to provide key footage for opposition analysis alongside home team development. Big congratulations to The Netherlands on their victory over France at Rotherham’s New York Stadium.

June

June saw us work with The Scottish FA at their girls’ U14 and U16 development training camps to capture the stars of the future in the women’s game north of the border.

May and June also saw us visit professional football grounds across the UK covering youth football tournaments for both Precision Pass and Play on the Pitch. We ticked off The Emirates, Stamford Bridge, The Riverside, Selhurst Park and The Hawthorns amongst others, with some fantastic football played and lots of memories captured on film! And we capped off our youth tournament coverage with a trip to Portugal to cover Precision Pass’ Europa Cup tournament at Benfica’s Estadio da Luz over the weekend of the 8th- 10th June.

July

July brought pre-season and a new partner club in the form of Sheppey United of the Step 4 Southern Counties East League. Match filming of all home games with full highlights continue to be produced for The Ites during their push for promotion.

Cricket was the first recipient of our new live graphics pack during a live stream. Lytham Cricket Club played host to Stephen Croft’s testimonial T20 match on a scorching summer’s day. It was an exciting day for us as we cemented live streaming with graphics as part of our offering.

August

August saw a range of returning partners in advance of the new football and rugby union seasons, including Hendon FC, Twickenham RUFC, Manchester RC, Stafford RUFC and Anselmians RUFC. We’re proud to continue to provide their coaches, players and fans with the best action across the season.

August also saw us begin to build relationships in the up and coming scene of the YouTube football team. Palmers FC, SE Dons and Rebel FC were all covered as they geared up to the new season. Newer teams on the block, Under the Radar and Madness FC, have also looked to adopt our services across the 2018/19 season in order to challenge the more established names.

September

The start of the new academic year in September brought schools sport into focus. Hockey and rugby were a staple across the Michaelmas term with a range of schools up and down the country, from Fettes College in Edinburgh to Canford School in Wimborne, Dorset.

Following their Grand Final in May at Stoke’s Bet 365 Stadium, the Northern Premier League Football Academy (NPLFA) signed up in September to a full season of coverage across all 18 of their representative teams as we embarked on our third season together.

October

Our partnership with Kitlocker.com saw us cover their inaugural College Cup with four of the most respected football institutions in College football  battling it out to be crowned champions. SGS Bristol took the accolades at the impressive headquarters of The FA, St George’s Park.

November

Our live coverage of the Class D National Boxing finals

We were excited to be back with the National Association of Boys and Girls Clubs to cover their Class D National Boxing finals in November. Former winners boast names such as Amir Khan and Prince Naseem and our full live stream with commentary and graphics provided the perfect insight to the nation’s up and coming boxing talents.

December

Finally, December saw the exciting announcement that we’d be renewing our presence across the whole of Ireland. Access in the region allows us to cover the whole of the UK and beyond!

It also saw us cover showcase events for hundreds of American University hopefuls. First Point USA, Pass4Soccer and Future Elite Sports all benefitted from our support in promoting their clients skills!

If you’d like to be part of our 2019 make sure you get in touch with us to join the host of names we’ve covered!
